Early Saturday morning Mom, Dad, and Chuck left to go back home to KC. It was a sad and tearful night on Friday night before going to bed. Saturday morning though, it was too early to cry! :) (at least for me anyway) I know it will be quite a change for my parents to get home to a quiet house, but my prayer is that they will enjoy having their home all to themselves again, and just enjoy each other...but come visit us often! :) Just kidding, no pressure.
Dad and Chuck spent the week in Sturgis and had a great time. When they arrived they signed up for various volunteer jobs that CMA (Christian Motorcycle Association) might need help with. They have both been members for a while, and enjoy the outreach activities it provides. Also, Chuck has a trailer that he built that always catches a lot of attention! You can see it in the pictures above. With his bike and trailer being red we were also able to see glimpses of it on the evening news here locally. Some of the days they would ride in to Sturgis really early to get a parking spot along the main strip, then hand out tracts and bibles to those who wanted them. In the nighttime they camped out in a guys front yard (another CMA guy) with several other CMA members, would enjoy breakfast together in the mornings and then go to a church service each morning. It is so neat for me to see my Dad ministering to others and enjoying himself so much!
