Friends and Family

Dad and Maven
Maven getting around just fine!
Sara, Aubrey, Jack, and our boys

This past week we had our friends Sara, Jack, and Aubrey here visiting for a few days. It was a fun time to catch up and enjoy each other's company. The boys played well together and loved having another little guy here to run around with!
This weekend we were able to go spend time in KC with my family. We knew it was going to be a kind of wild weather weekend, so we pretty much stayed around Mom and Dad's house the whole time. Levi was able to get quite a bit of work done for school, as well as rest up from a rough few days at the end of last week. We celebrated Levi's birthday with my family while we were there too. For the rest of us it was fun and relaxing too! Greg and Alexis only live a few minutes away, so they were able to come over and hang out most of the day. Maven is growing SO much, I couldn't believe how big he is getting! He'll be 1 year old in May, so hopefully we can get back for his birthday. He's such a sweet and happy baby!
Today it's back to the usual grind. Levi's back on call today and the boys and I have already been to the store for the week, and will be getting things prepared for a trip next week. We will be leaving Sunday to go to South Dakota for several days, as Levi has some class/conferencing there Mon-Weds. We're going with him and making sort of a mini vacation out of it. It should be a fun time!

Daddy's Weekend and other fun stuff

This past weekend we celebrated Levi's birthday with him. He was able to do a little sleeping in, watched all the basketball he wanted to, and we made him his favorite chocolate pudding pie. The boys helped make the pie, and they of course thought that was a ton of fun! Levi's parents, along with David and Deann brought lots of stuff over Friday night to have a cookout for Levi's birthday! It was a great time to be together and start out our March Madness weekend!

Last weekend we went to Andy and Rosana's wedding here in town. Rosana is Levi's cousin. It was a beautiful wedding, and the day couldn't have been more perfect! They are such a sweet couple who are so honoring to the Lord. We are so happy for them to start their lives together! We also had the pleasure of having Levi's uncle Jim, Aunt Stephanie, and their kids staying with us that weekend. Time flew by way too fast, but it was a lot of fun. After the wedding we had a bit of a reunion with all of the Lebron family, as Levi's grandparents were in town from Arizona, an aunt from Florida, as well as the rest of the family. It was a really good weekend of fun.

Wedding song... I Will Be Here

Today is our 9th wedding anniversary! I can't believe it has been that many years. God has been SO faithful and merciful to us over the years! Levi, I love you more today than ever before. Being your wife is a true blessing, and I look forward to the rest of our lives together. Happy Anniversary!

Sweet friends and fun

Cole, Marcus, Cade, Payton, and Carson
Jen and I
Watching a movie

For the last couple of days we've had the pleasure of having Jen and the kids here visiting! It was so fun to just enjoy each others company and hang out like the old days. We miss them SO much! Payton and Cade are so sweet and have grown so much. It feels like time is moving way too fast for me right now...it seems like yesterday her kids were the toddlers.
The kids all played so well together and had such a good time. Payton and Cade are so loving and sweet to our boys, even though our little guys are right in the midst of a "rough" season with being in the age range of 2-4. We definitely have our good days and bad days, but Levi and I are trying to stay consistent with them in discipline.
Anyway, the visit was so good and such an encouragement to me in so many ways. We are so thankful for good and real friends.

Hoops and stuff

Marcus, Cole, Carson, and Spencer watching the game.

The boys before church on Sunday

This past weekend we decided to take the boys to their first basketball game. Marcus and Cole were a bit sensitive to the noise at first, but Marcus adjusted fairly quickly and pretty much sat and watched most of the game. Cole sat on my lap and cried the first 10 minutes or so, holding his hands up over his ears. I could imagine for him it was a bit scary too, just being in a fairly large place with lots of people...throw in loud buzzers and loud band. It might have been a little too much for him. By half time he seemed ok and was into snacks and wanted to sit by his brothers and Spencer (Marcus little friend and his Daddy were sitting with us too). Carson seemed to love the whole thing, wanted to go down with Daddy and Grandpa Kelly to get popcorn and skittles. He was funny and all smiles watching the big Bulldog very closely...I asked him if he wanted to go give him a hug and he got a pretty scared look on his face and said, "NO, Mommy".
Near the end of the game Carson was standing on his seat and lost his balance. Thankfully Levi reached out and caught him by his shirt. A few minutes later Cole did the same thing, however the outcome was not so great. He fell down to the next seat, then did an acrobatic maneuver down to the next row before slamming his little head into the seat. My heart just sank, as I just knew we'd see blood when we picked him up. It made such a loud noise that everyone within a 20 person radius silenced and looked to make sure he was ok. Amazingly enough there was no blood, and not even a bump on his head. We were so thankful.
So, the basketball experience didn't go exactly as we had planned...but on the way out Marcus said he had a good time. So we're thinking maybe next season we'll get a sitter for the little guys and just take Marcus to a few games.
On Sunday the boys seemed to be more relaxed at church and not so clingy to Mommy and Daddy. Marcus is extremely shy (no surprise to anyone who knew Levi or I when we were little) but on Sunday he did a great job talking to people and seemed to feel more comfortable. There are a few pic's of them here before church that day.
