Our Visit to the Park

I'm free! It's good to be a kid!
Giggles...
I am enjoying myself, I am enjoying myself, I am enjoying myself...
Swing higher brother!
Oh, I'm so exhausted...I think I'll just go ahead and fall asleep here if that's ok.
I love slides!
On the go again!

Enjoying some goldfish in the park

This was the twins' first time at the park where they actually got out of their stroller! Carson and Cole enjoyed the park just as much as big brother Marcus! We had a great evening and really enjoyed seeing the boys have so much fun. Carson and Cole loved the swings, they both just giggled the whole time. Towards the end of our time there Carson got pretty comfortable and looks pretty relaxed in his swing...I think a few more minutes and he would have been asleep! I know there are a lot of pictures here, but we had so much fun I just had to share them!

Boys playing this week

Here are a few pictures of the boys playing this week...and one of Marcus catching an episode of Sesame Street. It's been an interesting week with runny noses and shorter tempers...not mine.. :) The babies are both teething again, hopefully that explains it all. This morning I caught Carson and Cole babbling back and forth with each other and then giggling. I came downstairs to see what they were doing and they were playing peek a boo behind the recliner. It was kind of neat to see them interacting and actually keeping each other occupied. Taught Marcus how to play red light green light this morning, while holding/rocking Carson in my arms for an hour in the rocking chair. He's becoming a Momma's boy and I love it! No one else will hold still that long and just let me hold them.

We also got to go to the mall this week and let the boys run around and play in the playland area. We met another family there from Levi's school, it was fun getting to know them and visit. Forgot to take my camera though so there are no pic's of that. Sorry!

Daddy's first day of CRNA school

Getting everything together

Saying goodbye to the boys
Out the door...

The long awaited day is finally here...but not without a lot of nervousness and prayers! Daddy is starting classes today so we're all a little anxious. Last week he had two days of orientation that was mostly filled with speeches of intimidation, talks of what to expect, how to prepare yourself, and how to prepare your families for what lies ahead. Levi was glad to find out that most of his 40 classmates are married and have families that will be going through this process too. (kind of makes him feel like everyone is in the same boat)

Levi, the boys and I are so proud of you and thankful for what God has done...No one could ever fully understand the road we have been on, but God is faithful and has proven time and time again that He has ALWAYS been there. I love you with all my heart and I am thankful for this opportunity to walk with you through this journey.

Hanging out at home...

Here are some pictures of us around the house this week. Things from the move have quieted down a lot, most everything is put away, so we are just laying low and relaxing this week. The boys have really enjoyed playing with their toys in the playroom, and spending quality time with Mommy and Daddy. Levi and I have been taking turns going to the wellness center and we both really enjoy that time. We're both making a huge effort to be more disciplined in every area of our lives, so far so good... :)

Lewis and Clark lake... A tad bit larger than Thousand Hills!

Diaper changing time!!!

I had to see what this "Dakota Dome" was all about... not bad for a D-II

Jenny found this landing strip to be a bit out of place!

The Boyz hang'n with Bishop Marty!

Any "Scrubs" fans out there? We thought it was funny that this was the same hospital name...

Today we drove an hour and a half down to Yankton, SD to see Mount Marty College. This is the school Levi will be attending for his Master's in Nurse Anesthesia, however his classes will be in Sioux Falls where there are several large hospitals. There are 40 students in his program, half are men and half are women. He starts orientation next Thursday (Aug 23) so as a family we are gearing up for the whole experience. We walked through the campus, and for those of you from KC it is about the 3/4 the size of William Jewell College. It is a private catholic college, with beautiful rolling hills, in a nice quiet little town. We all went to the bookstore and got Tshirts, visited with the lady working there (or should I say Marcus visited with the lady). We shouldn't have a hard time meeting new people with "chatty kathy" (Marcus) in the midst.

After we left the campus we drove about 5 miles to Lewis and Clark Lake, it was very pretty and an extremely large lake. There were lots of people boating, fishing, camping, swimming...looked like lots of fun! On the way home we stopped in Vermillion, where the University of South Dakota is. Levi wanted to go inside the Dakota Dome, so there is a pic of that above. We stopped at McD's and had some lunch, then got back on the road to go home. One thing we are learning is that although it's tiresome to take everybody out, it is necessary to teach them manners in public, and it is usually a really fun time...even at the end of the day when Mommy spills ketchup all over her clothes at McDonalds. You just brush it off and move on!
