Our 8th Anniversary

Yesterday Levi and I celebrated our 8th wedding anniversary! It was fun to sit back and think about that day and all that took place. Yesterday was an overcast rainy day, much like the day we were married...in fact, about the time of the ceremony when everyone was coming into the church it was pouring down rain, then later that night it snowed...enough to delay our plane the next morning and cause us to have to sit on the runway for an hour while the plane was de-iced! I know that doesn't sound like a picture perfect wedding day, but for us it was. Neither Levi or I even noticed the strange unseasonable weather on that day as we were too busy enjoying and soaking in every moment.  I, for one, am so glad we didn't get all out of sorts when the weather was bad, or when our unity candles wouldn't light. God allowed us to go with the flow and enjoy the day and each other.
While we have shared immense joy, love, and blessings, our eight years of marriage have definitely also seen some bad weather and even times when we didn't want to work together as a unit.  The one constant has been Christ... He is ALWAYS there, He is the picture of what true love is and should be.
We feel so blessed to be able to share our lives together, and thankful for the three children God has given us.  I was picking a few pictures out of our album tonight while Marcus was flipping through it...he was very puzzled as to why there were no pictures of him or "the brothers" (as he calls them)!

Happy Anniversary!! Your pictures are beautiful! Our unity candle wouldn't light either and our wedding day was about 120 degrees with out any air conditioning in the church. We thought the elderly would not do well that day, but all survived just drenched with sweat! Any hoo, enjoy each other and your sweet boys! May God continue to bless your family and your marriage!
