Hiding from Daddy behind their snow fort

It finally warmed up enough (10 degrees) for the boys to go out and play in the snow this afternoon. To say they were excited is an understatement... Carson and Cole had not been sledding before, so we thought we'd start simple and stay in our yard. I think tomorrow we are going to head out for the big hill at swimming pool park, because our yard is not going to cut it. Carson was on his sled and down that hill so fast you would have thought he does this every day. Cole was right behind him laughing all the way. Marcus has been sledding at a big hill, but I doubt he remembers it. He loved being out there today too! We lasted about an hour before we were too cold and had to come inside. I love seeing the boys enjoy life so much, they are making so many fun memories!

I well remember a sledding day in 1993 when me and the Kelly boys had a blast at the swimming pool park. Levi was the most daring of us all - he sledded right off the ledge into the creek. We though he had broken bones when he landed in the ice and rocks below. It was quite a fun day until that incident happened. I also remember a rather one-sided guys-against-gals snowball fight. Nothing like fun in the snow! - Davy Barr

This weather probably makes you feel like you are in SD rather than in MO! Great pictures and it does appear you have some daring little guys on your hands! Fun times that is for sure!

That snow looked like so much fun.... kind of fluffy and not ice like ours was! What did they think of the bigger hill?
