Dining room -- after pic's

Dining room after
Lots of doorways and windows to cut in, made some of it pretty tedious
Levi and I primed it first with tinted primer...we joked that this is probably the closest we would ever get to painting a little girls room.

Marcus is enjoying all of the home renovation projects we are doing
On Labor day weekend we decided to tackle the dining room. It did not look bad before, it just wasn't us. It was a light colored wall paper, with stripes and floral designs in it. The room has lots of windows and doorways, so it gets a decent amount of light. We decided to go with a red color in there, and it turned out pretty good. Since wallpaper can be such a pain to peel off, and plaster walls so unsmooth, we decided to try and paint over the wallpaper. Let me tell you, if we can paint over THIS wallpaper and have it look halfway decent, I'm sure ANY wallpaper can be painted over. It not only had smooth spots where the floral designs were, but then it also had raised stripes in it throughout. I am going to buy some roman shades for all of the windows, so that will change the look a bit too. We also have hardwood floors under the carpet, in the future we will be checking into getting those refinished. For now, our dining room is our workout room...until we can get a dining room table. This year for the holidays and stuff when we need the dining room we will just use long foldout tables.
