We have been here a week, and it definitely already feels like home. The boys have been out in the yard and the driveway most of the time, so they are enjoying the place already. They've been busy riding bikes, in fact, on Monday Cole asked us to take his training wheels off. He immediately rode all the way down the driveway...stopping and starting were his only issues. He and Marcus are both riding well without training wheels, Cole is still working on getting started by himself, but thankfully he has mastered stopping. :) Carson is content to ride with his training wheels a while longer.
On Sunday night we had the family over to celebrate the twins 4th birthdays. We had ice cream and cup cakes. They really enjoyed the time and playing with their cousins. I will post pictures when I can.
My Mom has been here all week, helping me to get unpacked and settled into our new home. It has been a wonderful time together, and I'm going to be so sad to see them leave on Sunday. Dad was here for the move, then went back home to work all week, and then came back up here last night. He and Levi have some big yard work planned for today. We have several bushes that need to be taken out and others trimmed, and trees trimmed.
The house we bought was built in 1928. It was kept up well, and we did not have to do anything in order to move in. There will be some updating projects and things we will do as we can. We have already done a few things inside, but our first priority is to get the yard cleaned up and how we want it. I will post pictures as soon as we get our home pc hooked up and running. We need to have an electrician out to put in a 3 prong outlet first. :)
Marcus had his first day of kindergarten on Wednesday. He had a few tears the first day, but did very well. Each day since has just gotten better and better for him. On Friday when I picked him up his teacher was reading to the class...she stopped right in the middle and said, "He had a GREAT day"...then kept reading. On the way home I asked him what she meant. He said, " I think she means I talked an aweful lot!" " I talked when I was asked a question and even talked to Jacob. I even played with Jacob and we read a book together!" I said, "well it sounds to me like you made a friend." He said, "Yeah I guess I did...Already!" He was so excited and happy. ---a HUGE answer to prayer, as he is VERY shy and also usually just plays by himself. Thank you for your prayers for him this week, I know the Lord heard and answered.
