Busy, Busy, Busy

Well we made it to Missouri on Saturday.  It was a long day of driving with the boys, as we were all tired from packing the truck and cleaning our old duplex, so the little guys did as well as could be expected.  Also a couple of days before the move the twins started getting colds, so they were a bit worn down from that too.  Amanda rode along with me to help out with the boys, and Mom and Dad followed us in their car.  Levi, David, and their parents took off a few hours before us with the moving truck and the other cars.  I had to stick around and do our walk through with the landlord who wouldn't meet us until 11:00...she didn't seem to care that we had an 8 hour drive ahead of us... but on the bright side she DID give us our whole deposit back. (which we had heard horror stories that she NEVER gives your deposit back)  Thank you to all of our family who helped us get loaded up, helped us clean, and get moved!!  Not only did you give of your time, but also we know it is a financial sacrifice (especially these days) to make those long drives.  We are so thankful and appreciative of all your help!
As I mentioned Levi was about 2 hours ahead of us with the moving truck.  When he arrived at our new home he did the walkthrough with our new landlord and then about 25 people from our church showed up and unloaded our truck!!!  Yes, I just said 25 people!  Can you believe that??  Some were people we don't even know yet.  (For those who don't know, we are back in Levi's hometown so we already know where we are going to go to church and already know many people here)  So needless to say when I got here with the boys, the truck was unloaded and beds were already set up, my kitchen was unpacked and put away, and all other boxes were in the right rooms!  It was AMAZING!  Again, God is SO good to us.  Thank you to all who helped out!
On Sunday Levi spent the whole day driving to my parents house to pick up a few more things with the help of Dad and my brother Greg, then back to unload it, then drove the truck to Columbia to drop it off.  The boys and I stayed here and tried to get rested and adjusted to the new home.  Speaking of the new home...it's WONDERFUL!  We love it!  The boys are all in the same room, the twins switched over to big boy beds (which is going well, but another story in itself!), and they have the whole basement as a playroom.  In just a few short days it already feels like home here.
Monday we spent most of the day preparing for a birthday party/cookout for Carson and Cole. Levi and I had in mind what we would get them, but hadn't purchased anything yet since we weren't sure all of our stuff would fit in the moving truck as it was.  We found just what we were looking for here in town, a Little Tikes playhouse.  We put it in the basement and they can play in it year round.  Within the first couple days of having it though we found our little monkeys jumping off the roof of it!  Hopefully this was a smart purchase! :)
I have a TON of pictures to download today so I'll get that done and post some.

Welcome (back) to Missouri! So, does this mean you are going to change the name of the blog?

It has always been a blessing to us to have the saints help out whenever we moved. It reminds me of when Jesus said we would know Christians by our love for one another. We are looking forward to the short drive to see you at your new home.
