Here are some more pic's of the weekend. Marcus has had a huge fascination with books for quite some time, and keeps asking me to teach him how to read. My Aunt Vivian, who is a kindergarten teacher, sent him a large packet of books and writing examples to get started on while he is interested. This weekend he was sitting on the couch with Grandma and Papa and was "reading" (memorized books) to them. I didn't realize how many books he has memorized, some of which I've only read to him once...others a million times. So, that's our new project around here. He is very excited so we'll see what he can do!
On another exciting note, the twins are exploding with language, just like the pediatrician said they probably would. It is a really fun time around here to see everyone learning, and hearing the way they pronounce/mispronounce certain words. The boys love to sing with me too, and for some reason Cole says things much more clearly when he sings...kind of funny, but true. Right now their favorites are Jesus Loves Me, Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, Itsy Bitsy Spider, and Old MacDonald. Marcus is always trying to get them to say new words, teach them animals sounds, their body parts, etc. They seem to be catching on pretty quickly.
